Video13 Days of Wimbledon in 3 MinutesJul 10, '08 8:23 PM
for everyone

Searching high and low for their closing video montage but could not find it anywhere.

Here are the highlights of the recently concluded tourney. Particularly loved this one because it's the year Rafael Nadal finally won his first grand slam here, beating Roger Federed and putting an end to his 5-year winning streak.

The men's finals is the longest in the history of the All-England sports club lasting 4 hours and 48 minutes (game proper only! Add 2 rain delays equals tennis marathon from 9:30pm to 5am. I'm not kidding! Was wasted coming to work the morning after... err.. later.)

Such sweet victory for Rafael Nadal who's smoking hot. Haha. =)

As with the ladies' finals.. Well, the Williams sisters battled it out for the 3rd time, with Venus finally beating her younger this time, making her a champion 6 times around. But really, who cares? Hehehe. It's the price of a final match with neither Sharapova nor Ivanovic in it.

yeah that game between Roger & Rafa was what can i say... very dramatic indeed!! Saw it live thru starsports but because of the rain delays, wasn't able to finish 'coz it's the wee hours of the day already..

best ladies' game for me this year was that one between Ivanovic & Dechy... it's a shame Serbians aren't that good in grasscourt.hehe....

enjoyed watching this years games... full of drama and surprises!! =P

weee, fellow tennis fan! :)
yeah, mejo hassle watching the finals. my sisters and i, accross different homes and different countries, had to keep each other awake just so we could finish the match. and we'd text each other like crazy. you have to "copy" each other when you send out texts of frustration, anxiety and happiness over a point. yep, it's a family affair =)

and as with the other matches, i agree that this year's tourney was full of drama and surprises. dun pa lang sa early ealimination of the top 4 women e! o_O

by and large this one's my favorite grand slam ever in the uhmmm 11 years i've been watching tennis. aside from the fact wimbledon talaga favorite tournament ko! <3 made even more special by Rafa's epic victory =)

i <3 rafa

i didn't watch the men's and the women's finals. lost major interest when Novak and Safina got booted out. Justine is out of the circuit, so there. i do admire Federer, but i can't say that i'm a fan. he hasn't won any major tournament this year. i'm wondering if he is healthy or if the illness he had has badly affected his game/confidence.

observing how Nadal has been playing, he has been improving (a lot). also, i'm not a fan. not fond of him fixing his "pants," briefs or whatever it is he is fixing from his behind whenever he plays, big turn off, not to mention his spitting habit too. maybe he should ask Nike for a more comfortable outfit. i admit that he has shapely bottoms, a nice arse, just no frequent touching or fixing =D

honestly i don't like the Williams sisters, but i'm glad that it was Venus who won and not Serena =D

kaaliw naman kayong magkakapatid. i watched most of the games with my cousin. one may observe that our reactions and outbursts aren't too different from each other haha.
